Helicopter Proposal
A golden-hour flight over the Uluwatu cliffs with a bouquet and sparkling wine, or a styled clifftop landing with a photographer.

Fly to a private clifftop, beach lawn or villa garden, land, and sit down to a set table for two. The helicopter picnic package is $2,350 for the whole helicopter, built from a 45-minute scenic flight, a styled set-up and the dinner set. We pick an approved site, clear it with the owner and the operator, and name the exact spot in your quote before you pay.
The package price is for the whole helicopter, with pilot and fuel, and the table is set for two. Friends can ride along or join at the site; tell us the number and we adjust the set-up.
| Item | Guide price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Helicopter picnic package | $2,350 | The three parts below sold as one price, slightly lower than adding them up |
| Scenic flight, 45 min | $1,700 | Whole helicopter, pilot and fuel; the landing at your table is part of this flight |
| Styled landing-site set-up | $350 | Blanket or table, cushions, flowers and a parasol or arch, depending on the site |
| Dinner set for two | from $450 | Cliff or beach dinner set-up for two; the menu is agreed with you on WhatsApp |
| Helicopter waiting on the ground | $300 per hour | Charged when the aircraft stays on site; the quote states how many hours are covered |
| Sparkling wine | $120 | Opened at the table |
| Photographer on the ground | $250 | Shoots the landing, the table and the two of you |
| Private car to the pad | from $50 | Priced by hotel area |
These are guide prices; your WhatsApp quote fixes the final amount, and the price page shows how each one is built. Every landing site needs the owner's consent and the operator's clearance before you pay.
We use only approved sites: private land where the owner agrees and the operator has cleared the landing, or a resort or venue with its own pad or open lawn. Public beaches, temple grounds and national parks are not offered.
A flat plateau above the white limestone cliffs is the classic setting. Few plots have 25–30 m of clear ground, so the shortlist is short and we settle the spot early. The Uluwatu route shows the coast you fly along on the way.
Eat in a private garden with a pool, a few minutes after landing on the lawn. The lawn must be clear of loose items and overhead lines; how villa landings are approved lists what we check.
Some venues have a pad or an open lawn and can give consent. They set their own rules on outside food and drink, so we agree the dinner set with them first.
In the Ubud, Tabanan or Kintamani hills a flat private field can work. Sites are fewer, and cloud gathers on high ground from late morning, so highland picnics run earlier in the day.
Times are an example for a dry-season day with sunset at about 18:05. Your quote fixes the real times, and the helicopter is always back on its pad before sunset.
A helicopter here flies from sunrise to sunset and never after dark. There are three ways to handle the time on the ground, and your quote says which one applies.
| Option | How it works | Cost effect |
|---|---|---|
| Helicopter waits on site | The pilot stays with the aircraft and flies you back after the meal | Standby at $300 per hour on the ground, counted in the quote |
| Helicopter leaves and returns | It drops you, flies away, and comes back at a fixed time | Extra flying time is priced in the quote; suits a longer table time |
| You return by car | The helicopter drops you, flies back, and a car collects you after dinner | Priced as a one-way flight, which includes the helicopter's flight back, so close to a return; the site needs a road |
The first two options suit lunch and early dinner. The third suits a dinner that runs past sunset, because after dark you leave the site by road.
Every flight ends by sunset, so a clifftop dinner in Bali takes one of two shapes. In the first you land about 90 minutes before sunset, eat as the light turns gold and fly out before the sun is down. In the second you land in the afternoon, eat through sunset and go home by car while the helicopter flies back without you.
Sunset falls at about 18:05 in June and about 18:40 in late December. A 90-minute window before sunset puts the landing around 16:30 in June and around 17:00 in late December. For lunch, aim for a landing around 11:30 or 12:00. Mornings are usually clear, and cloud gathers on the hills from late morning, so a coastal site is a safer lunch choice than a highland one.
April to October is the dry season and the clearest. November to March brings showers in the afternoon, which makes lunch the safer slot, and we hold a back-up day. July, August and the Christmas to New Year weeks fill first: ask ten to fourteen days ahead for those dates.
Lunch gives the best weather odds and the longest time at the table. An early dinner gives gold light and a sunset on the horizon, but the helicopter has a hard stop at sunset.
Each site needs three things before you pay: the owner's or manager's consent, the operator's clearance of the landing, and a forecast the pilot accepts. For a light helicopter the rule of thumb is roughly 25–30 m of flat, firm ground, clear of loose items, overhead lines and tall trees. We do not land on public beaches, in temple grounds or in national parks.
The rotor blows dust, napkins, hats and tablecloths, so the table stands well back from the landing area and the crew weights down every cloth and glass. On a cliff, stay behind the line the crew marks and keep away from the edge while the rotor is turning. The pilot decides where to land and when to leave. A clifftop, a villa garden or a resort lawn are all fine. If you have no site in mind, say so and we suggest approved ones.
The owner and the operator sign off on a spot. Ask a week ahead so this can finish.
Tell us allergies and who eats what. We confirm the table style, the extras and the waiting option.
Payment details arrive with the quote. This website never takes a payment.
If the flight is unsafe, we move it to the back-up day or refund the part that was not flown.
The picnic landing package is $2,350 for the whole helicopter. It combines a 45-minute flight, a styled set-up and the dinner set for two. Sparkling wine ($120) and a photographer ($250) are extras.
Not on a public beach. A private beachfront lawn, a resort or a beach club can work when the owner consents and the operator has cleared the landing. We confirm the exact site before you pay.
Your quote states it. If the aircraft stays on site, waiting is charged at $300 per hour. The alternative is that the helicopter flies away and returns at an agreed time, or you leave by car.
Yes, but the helicopter cannot fly after sunset. You land in the afternoon, eat through sunset and drive back, or you finish the meal in daylight and fly out. Sites for a car pick-up need a road.
The dinner set for two starts at $450, and we agree the menu with you on WhatsApp. Tell us about allergies, vegetarians and drinks when you book.
The pilot decides on the day. We move the picnic to the back-up day, often a morning slot, or refund the part not flown. Lunch slots are the safer choice from November to March.
Yes. The same landing works for a proposal or a birthday surprise. Add a photographer so the first minute on the ground is captured.
Send the date, the number of guests and whether you want lunch or an early dinner. We reply today with a shortlist of approved sites, the aircraft and a fixed price.
