Who flies

Groups, Ages and Weights: Who Can Fly

The 4-seat class carries up to 4 guests, the 6-seat class carries up to 6, and two helicopters fly together for 7 or 8. In Bali's heat weight is the limit, not the number of seats, so we ask for approximate weights for every guest and for any bags.

Tell us the ages of any children when you write. We confirm seating and any age or weight limits with the operator before you pay. For bigger parties the group flight guide explains how to split guests between helicopters.

Birthdays in July, August and the weeks around Christmas and New Year are the hardest to place: ask ten to fourteen days ahead. On a normal date two to four days is usually enough. In the wet season, November to March, afternoon showers are common, so a morning flight is the safer slot.

What to Know Before the Birthday Flight

Keep the surprise to one phone. Use one chat thread, and tell us if the birthday person can see yours.
Leave balloons, banners and gift bags on the ground. Loose items cannot ride in the cabin; decorate the pad or the table instead.
Give us everyone's weight. The total decides the aircraft class and whether everyone fits.
Wear light clothes and flat shoes. A hat, scarf or long skirt can catch the rotor wash on the pad.
Wait for the bottle. Sparkling wine is poured after landing, once the rotor has stopped.
