How to read prices

One-Way Prices Include the Flight Back

A helicopter that drops you on a Gili island or in Ubud has to return to its base, so a one-way fare pays for both legs of aircraft time. That is why the one-way price of a route is close to a return price. If you plan to come back the same day, book the return: you pay the same flight time plus standby, from $300 per hour.

Air times are airborne minutes from a distance table, with a range for the aircraft type and routing. Add 15–20 minutes for the pick-up, the briefing and shutdown. Landing is only at airports, approved pads and private sites with the owner's agreement; read how landing works.

Helicopter or boat

When the Helicopter Beats the Boat

TripHelicopter (air time)Fast boat or roadHelicopter price per person (4 guests)
Bali → Lombok35–50 minAbout 2.5 hours by fast boat to the Gili side, plus transfers$815
Bali → Gili Trawangan30–40 minAbout 2–2.5 hours by fast boat$675
Bali → Nusa Lembongan11–15 minAbout 30–45 minutes by fast boat$250
Airport → Ubud13–20 minAbout 60–90 minutes by car$325

Boat and road times vary with the day, the queue and the sea. The helicopter wins on slow roads and long crossings; for the short Lembongan hop the boat is cheaper, and the helicopter adds the view and the door-to-pad convenience.
