Helicopter Proposal
A golden-hour flight over the Uluwatu cliffs with a bouquet and sparkling wine, or a styled clifftop landing with a photographer.

A private helicopter gives a honeymoon couple 30 minutes alone over Ubud's rice valleys and the rim of Mount Batur, for $1,150 for the whole helicopter, about $575 each for two. For warmer light, a 30-minute golden-hour flight that ends at sunset is $1,250. Send the date and your hotel area on WhatsApp and we reply the same day with the pad, the slot and a fixed price.
Every price is for the whole helicopter, up to 4 guests, with pilot and fuel included. For a couple the 30-minute flight works out at about $575 each. Sparkling wine, flowers and photos are add-ons, listed further down.
| Flight | What you see | Time | From |
|---|---|---|---|
| Morning honeymoon flight | Ubud's rice valleys and the Ayung river gorge, then the rim of the Mount Batur caldera and its lake | 30 min | $1,150 |
| Golden-hour honeymoon flight | Timed to end at sunset: the Bukit coast, Uluwatu Temple on its sea cliff and the sun dropping toward the Indian Ocean | 30 min | $1,250 |
| Anniversary short flight | The Bukit cliffs and Uluwatu Temple: a shorter, lower-cost flight that stays on the coast | 18 min | $650 |
| Long honeymoon loop | A wider loop of the island that includes the Jatiluwih rice terraces; see the 60-minute tour | 60 min | $2,300 |
The route and the pad are confirmed in your quote. The pad you lift off from decides how much of the 30 minutes is spent over the volcano and how much getting there. A landing for sparkling wine or a picnic is possible only at a site where the owner agrees and the operator has cleared it; see the helicopter picnic.
The route shifts with the pad, the wind and the cloud, but these four things are the reason couples pick 30 minutes over a shorter hop.
North of Ubud the Tegalalang terraces climb a hillside in steps, and the Campuhan ridge and the Ayung river gorge cut through forest nearby. Early sun picks out every terrace edge. The Ubud helicopter tour shows this stretch on its own.
Batur rises 1,717 m inside a caldera beside Lake Batur at Kintamani. Cloud builds around it from late morning, which is why couples who want clear views fly between 07:00 and 10:00. The Mount Batur tour page covers it in detail.
On the sunset version the helicopter follows the white limestone cliffs, passes Uluwatu Temple on its sea cliff about 70 m high, and turns for the pad as the sun touches the horizon.
Headsets cut the rotor noise so you can talk in normal voices. The pilot hears the intercom as well, so keep private words for the pad. The windows stay shut in flight, so take photos through the glass with the phone held close to it.
An example for a June date, when sunset is about 18:05. In late December sunset is nearer 18:40, so move everything about half an hour later.
Take one, take all, or skip them. Each is priced separately so you pay only for what you pick.
| Add-on | Guide price | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Sparkling wine and glasses | $120 | Opened on the ground after landing, never in the cabin |
| Bouquet | $60 | Waiting at the pad when you arrive; a small one can fly with you |
| Photographer on the ground | $250 | Covers boarding, lift-off and landing at the pad, not the air |
| Drone filming from the ground | $300 | Films your departure and arrival; the drone never launches from the helicopter |
| Private car to the pad | from $50 | Priced by hotel area and vehicle |
| Styled landing-site set-up | $350 | Only with a landing: flower arch, cushions, petals; see the picnic flight |
These are guide prices from the price page. The final amounts, with the pad and aircraft, arrive in your WhatsApp quote.
Choose the morning flight if the volcano is the point. Mount Batur and the Ubud valleys are clearest between 07:00 and 10:00, before cloud gathers on the high ground. Choose golden hour if you want the coast and warm light. The last hour before sunset gives Uluwatu its colour, and a golden-hour flight costs a little more than the same time in the morning.
The dry season, April to October, has the clearest air. In the wet season, November to March, showers cluster in the afternoon, so a morning flight is the safer pick. July, August and the weeks around Christmas and New Year are the busiest: message us ten to fourteen days ahead for those dates.
If you are weighing two flights, one 30-minute flight is the usual choice. If you want a volcano and a sunset, fly the morning route and add a separate golden-hour flight on another day, or ask us for a 60-minute loop.
Message us on WhatsApp with your date or a range of dates, your hotel area, the number of guests and whether it is a honeymoon or an anniversary.
You get the aircraft class, the pad, the route, the pick-up time and one fixed price for the whole helicopter.
We send payment details with the quote. The website itself takes no payment.
We look at wind and cloud and confirm the pick-up time. The pilot makes the final call on the day.
An unsafe flight is moved to the next suitable slot, often the next morning, or the part not flown is refunded.
A 30-minute flight is $1,150 for the whole helicopter, about $575 each for a couple. The golden-hour version is $1,250. Sparkling wine ($120) and a bouquet ($60) are optional extras.
It is long enough for two landscapes in one flight, such as Ubud's valleys and the Batur caldera. The 12 and 18-minute flights cover one landmark group. If you also want the island circuit with the Jatiluwih terraces, ask for the 60-minute flight.
Yes, at an approved site: a private clifftop, a villa lawn or a resort where the owner agrees and the operator has cleared the landing. We never land on public beaches or in temple grounds. The exact spot is confirmed before you pay.
You can shoot through the window with a phone or a small camera, but the windows stay shut in flight. A ground photographer is $250. Our helicopter photo tips explain how to avoid reflections.
No. Flights run in daylight only, from sunrise to sunset. A golden-hour flight lifts off about 20–30 minutes before sunset and lands at sunset.
The pilot decides on the day. We offer the next suitable slot, often the next morning, or refund the part that was not flown. In the wet season mornings are usually the better bet, so tell us every day you could fly.
Up to 4 guests fly in the standard class, so you two plus two more. The larger class takes 6 and costs about 1.4 times as much. Groups of 7 or 8 use two helicopters flying together.
Tell us the dates you could fly, your hotel area and whether you prefer morning or golden hour. You hear back today with the aircraft class, the pad and one fixed price.
