Urgent Same-Day Helicopter
A helicopter found and priced the same day for stranded travellers, missed boats and time-critical trips. Not a medical evacuation service.
In a life-threatening emergency on Bali, Nusa Penida or the Gilis, call 112, Indonesia's national emergency number, and your travel insurer's 24-hour assistance line first, before you contact any helicopter company. A private helicopter is not a flying ambulance: a medical evacuation needs an approved medical crew, a suitable aircraft and your insurer's approval, and we never promise one. What we can do is arrange an urgent, same-day, non-medical flight in daylight. This is a planning guide, not medical advice.

Call 112 now. Do not wait for a message from a helicopter company, and do not try to arrange a helicopter before the emergency services and your insurer have been called.
The small islands have basic clinics. Serious cases go to hospitals in south Bali or, from the Gilis, to hospitals in Mataram on Lombok. Opening hours and equipment change, so ask your hotel or insurer for the nearest 24-hour option.
| Island | Care on the island | Serious cases usually go to | Helicopter airborne time | Guide price, non-medical transfer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nusa Penida | Basic clinics | Hospitals in south Bali; the fast boat from Sanur takes about 30–45 minutes | 11–15 min to Sanur | $1,000 one-way, whole helicopter |
| Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan | Basic clinics | Hospitals in south Bali, by boat | 11–15 min to Sanur | $1,000 one-way |
| Gili Trawangan, Meno and Air | Basic clinics | Hospitals in Mataram on Lombok, or south Bali | 12–20 min to Mataram | $1,250 one-way |
Airborne time is the flight alone. Finding an aircraft, a crew, a landing site and the approvals takes longer, and nothing starts until the emergency services and your insurer agree. Guide prices are for an ordinary non-medical transfer; urgent availability changes them. See also Nusa Penida and the Gili Islands.
On a small island the first move is usually an ambulance or a vehicle to a clinic, then a boat or a helicopter if the medical team decides the patient must leave the island. That decision belongs to doctors and the insurer's assistance team. They weigh the patient's condition, the sea state, the time of day and the receiving hospital.
A helicopter has limits that matter in an emergency. It flies in daylight only, from sunrise to sunset. It needs weather it can fly in. It needs a place to land at both ends, and a way to get the patient from the landing site to the hospital. On the Gilis, where there are no motorised vehicles, a landing site can be the hardest part. On Nusa Penida a flat site and a road both have to be agreed in advance.
For that reason the boat or the ambulance is sometimes faster in practice, even when the helicopter is faster in the air. Your medical team will tell you which. We do not second-guess them.
| A private helicopter can | It cannot |
|---|---|
| Be found for an urgent, same-day, non-medical flight when an aircraft and a landing site are free | Replace the emergency services or an ambulance |
| Move well people quickly: a travelling companion, a relative, a parent, or medication and luggage | Promise a medical evacuation or a response time |
| Support a flight that your insurer's assistance team has approved, where the medical crew and aircraft are provided or approved by them | Carry a patient without an approved medical crew and the insurer's approval |
| Land at an airport or an approved site that has been cleared with the owner | Land on a public beach, at a temple, in a national park or at a hospital without clearance |
| Fly from sunrise to sunset when weather and air traffic control allow | Fly at night |
A medical evacuation is a medical service. It needs a medical crew, an aircraft equipped for it and an approving doctor. Our urgent helicopter service covers non-medical urgent flights only.
Tell us in the first line of your message that emergency services and the insurer have been called.
Include where you are, the landing site if you know it, where you need to go, the number of people with approximate weights, and your deadline. We answer from 08:00 to 20:00 WITA; outside those hours, do not wait for us.
The reply says whether an aircraft is free, which pad and landing site, what the price is and the earliest take-off in daylight. If we cannot help, we say so plainly.
A deposit holds the slot. Nothing is paid on this website.
Weather, daylight and the landing site can still change the plan. For the full picture of what we do on urgent days, see urgent helicopter in Bali or our contact page.
Call 112, the national emergency number, then your travel insurer's 24-hour assistance line. Contact a helicopter company only after that, and only if the medical team says a flight is part of the plan.
The islands have basic clinics. Serious cases go to hospitals in south Bali from Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, and to Mataram or south Bali from the Gilis. Check the nearest 24-hour option when you arrive.
We do not promise a medical evacuation. It needs an approved medical crew, a suitable aircraft and your insurer's approval. We can arrange an urgent, same-day, non-medical flight, and we can help where your insurer has approved and organised the medical side.
We cannot promise a response time. It depends on where an aircraft is, daylight, weather and whether a landing site is approved. The flight alone from Nusa Penida to Sanur takes 11–15 min in the air.
Our flights are day flights, from sunrise to sunset. After dark, rely on the ambulance and the sea or road options your medical team advises.
It depends on your policy. Call the assistance line before you arrange transport yourself, because many insurers must approve a transfer for the cost to be covered.
Tell us where you are, where you need to go, how many people and by when. We reply from 08:00 to 20:00 WITA with an aircraft, a pad and a fixed price, or tell you if we cannot help.
